News

Updated quality standard on epilepsies:

NICE have updated their quality standard on epilepsies in children, young people and adults. It describes high quality care in priority areas for improvement. This includes new statements on mental health and learning disabilities.

1.4 million more people eligible for antiviral Paxlovid

People who have an increased risk for progression to severe COVID-19 will be eligible for Paxlovid if they test positive following our updated final draft guidance. Paxlovid is an antiviral medicine that stops the virus from growing and spreading.

Join a committee

NICE currently have vacancies on our urinary tract infection (recurrent): antimicrobial prescribing committee and technology appraisal and highly specialised technologies appeals panel.

Health and care professionals from a wide range of backgrounds work with NICE to produce their recommendations. Your involvement helps to ensure their guidance is useable in practice. Join them and have an active role in producing a guideline or quality standard.
